Count Me In
Are you interested in taking part in health care research? Do you know how you can get involved?
Solent NHS Trust are committed to making sure people who use our services have every opportunity to be involved in and informed of research. Nine out of ten people say they would like to take part in research, but most are unaware of any such opportunities because nobody has told them.
Our ‘Count Me In’ initiative means that if there is a research study we think you might be interested in we will contact you to see if you would like to be involved. It could be about a service you have used or regarding a medical condition you have. You can see further information about the initiative on the bottom of the letters our services may send out to you.
Of course, you might not want to take part – that’s absolutely fine – saying no will not have any effect on your care with us. If you would like to opt out of Count Me In, please speak to your clinician or contact us directly.
But by getting involved you can be part of developing new treatments or understanding about different conditions, and through this help us to improve healthcare services for the future.
