The aim of this study is to understand proceses in the brain of someone that has Alzheimer's Disease and how these proceses affect memory and thinking.
Who can be involved?
- A person who has Alzheimer's Disease
- A person that has memory difficulties (Mild Cognitive Impairment)
- A healthy volunteer
What happens to people taking part in this research?
Taking part involves a clinical assesment followed by PET/CT scans to assess your memory. You will be asked to answer a few questions as well as completing some writing and some drawing.
You will then be asked to come to a specialist hospital in London to complete 3 more PET/CT scans as well as an MRI and baseline blood tests. You will be reimbursed travel costs.
