This study is investigating differences in cognitive functions (brain functions) in people with Down syndrome. We are collecting data from a large number of individuals with Down syndrome to explore some of the reasons that help to explain these differences between individuals with Down syndrome, and why some people with Down syndrome develop Alzheimer’s disease and others do not.
Who can be involved?
- All children and adults that have a diagnosis of Downs Syndrome
What happens to people taking part in this research?
Taking part in this study involves having a clinical assessment (having blood pressure and weight taken). Participants will complete a variety of brain tasks to investigate their abilitities and will then be asked to provide blood and saliva samples.
