My Baby Comes Smoke Free (Closed to recruitment)
My Baby Comes Smoke Free is a study aiming to understand if a reward voucher programme helps young pregnant women to quit smoking.
Who can be involved?
- Any person who is involved with the Family Nurse Partnership and has been referred into this service at less than 20 weeks pregnant
- Any family nurse working in the Family Nurse Partnership service
- All ages are eligable to take part
What happens to people taking part in this research?
There are two parts to the study: one part involves young women attending a Smokestop session where Love2Shop vouchers will be given once non-smoking status has been verified by CO monitor. The second part will be interviews with the participants and health professionals involved by the researchers about their experience in the study and whether it did or didn’t work for them
Taking part will ask you to attend Smokestop sessions with other young mothers during pregnancy and until your baby is 6 weeks old. Agree to set a Quit date and take part in regular CO monitoring to verify non-smoking status.
