STRATIFY

The aim of the STRATIFY project is to identify biological and social features that may be common to different mental health conditions. We expect that the results of this study will be important in developing better treatments for people who have mental health difficulties, for example by tailoring treatments to precisely target those symptoms that cause suffering in each individual patient, and by reducing treatment side-effects.

Who can be involved?

  • Adults aged between 18-25 years of age
  • People who were diagnosed with attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) as a child

What happens to people taking part in this research?

Taking part in this research involves completing two stages. The first stage is filling out some online questionnaires about yourself and your lifestyle. The second stage is travelling to a research centre in london and taking part in additional questionnaires, tasks, a breathalyser test and providing blood and urine samples. You will also be asked to have an MRI scan. Prior to the assesment you will be asked to not drink alcohol or use drugs (unless prescribed) within 24 hours.
