TRIO-Physio (Closed to recruitment)
The TRIO-Physio study is looking to see if exercises at home or physiotherapy sessions at the hospital plus exercises at home make a difference to how well people recover after their knee replacement surgery.
We are trying to determine if doing intense physiotherapy with patients who are not doing well at the first review 6 weeks after their operation can improve how well they have recovered at one year. We are looking at this as the evidence we have currently does not show us if giving more physiotherapy would make a difference to those who are not recovering as quickly as hoped or if there are other reasons.
