OCS-CARE (Closed to Recruitment)
This study is testing whether there is better recovery from stroke if clinical staff and carers are informed about the presence of any problems in memory, language and attention that can occur.
The aim of the study is to assess whether routine measurement of cognitive problems will help people recover after a stroke. To assess this, we will compare recovery after a stroke when people either receive the current standard care vs. when we do measure cognition. In order to compare, participants in this study will be randomly allocated into one of the two groups; they will either receive the current standard care or the cognitive assessment.
This study has now closed to recruitment.
