COVID-19 Vaccination Volunteers

Solent Vaccine Volunteers

Work with us - protect our community - save lives

In December 2020 Solent took responsibility for the delivery of four mass vaccination centres across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. These centres will have the capacity to deliver over 20,000 vaccines a week.

About our vaccine centres

A massive thank you to all the organisations and individuals who are supporting us and we look forward to hearing from you. You can find more details about each of the hubs on the Vaccine Centres webpage as well as a collection of Frequently Asked Questions that will provide you with extra information about the volunteering process.

Joining the team:

If you are interested in joining the Solent Vaccine team, we have three different volunteer roles that you can consider:

COVID precautions

All sites are fully assessed by our infection prevention experts and precautions are taken on all sites. All staff and volunteers will need to:

  • wear surgical grade masks at all times indoors and outdoors (these will be provided),
  • observe social distancing of 2m.

The windows and doors are open in the vaccine hubs to allow for ventilation and there are hand washing and hand sanitising facilities provided throughout. Queues are managed to ensure not too many people are in the hubs at any one time. Breaks are staggered to allow for adequate space in the staff areas.

People are asked not to attend if they have had a positive COVID test in the past four weeks or are experiencing any symptoms.
