How to do QI

The 'How to do QI' training course welcomes Solent staff members who are interested in learning the basics of QI concepts and methodologies, as well as carrying out a small-scale project within their service.

About the course

EXPLORE

The training will provide participants with an introduction to the most common QI tools, the practice of using measurement and data for improvement, the 'Model for Improvement' and ‘Plan, Do, Study, Act’ (PDSA) cycles.

What it provides:

  • Support and encouragement for individuals/teams to implement improvement

  • Opportunity to work alongside likeminded colleagues

  • Dedicated support from the QI team

What it involves:

  • Support and agreement from your line manager

  • Option 1 – one day face-to-face training day

  • Option 2 – three 2.5hr virtual sessions 

What it includes:

  • QI Methodology

  • Tools to support your initiative

  • Stakeholder engagement

  • People participation

  • Measurement for improvement
