This workshop will introduce you to key demand and capacity principles such as ways to measure and manage your service demand and capacity, how to match capacity to demand, what is meant by a sustainable waiting list size, and strategies for effective waiting list management.

The training has been tailored for operations and service managers who would like to know more about understanding and managing increasing demand, difficulties coordinating capacity, or lengthening waits and delays.

The day will be a mixture of taught content, interactive
exercises and plenty of discussion. We will introduce you to some of the key NHS England tools available to support demand and capacity management, as well as examples of work currently underway within Solent.
